A Guest Post - Graceful Grey Walls

You meet some wonderful people while writing a blog and for the first time in Miss Vintage's Ivory tower I am lucky enough to have Jenn as a guest blogger talking about one of my all time favorite colours .... Grey.

Hello everyone! My name is Jenn and I am a writer at Arcadian Home Decor, an e-commerce website that specializes in top home decor ideas around the world. I have always been a fan of home decor and interior design, and I love wandering around antique shops, furniture stores, and little boutiques with home accessories and table decor. I also love to follow great home decor blogs like Miss Vintage's Ivory Tower, where Miss Vintage herself always inspires with her fun posts. I was so excited to find out I'd be writing here today, so thanks for having me!


A colour that never goes out of style (in both home decor as well as fashion) is grey. Sophisticated, elegant, sometimes subtle and oftentimes bold, grey can always add style to a dull space. So here are eight fabulous rooms with graceful grey walls.


Black and white Zen

The graceful grey walls shown here complement the vibrant black and white bedding as well as the furniture to create a seamless look.

Grey accents

Although grey can look great on all the walls in a space, it can also be a beautiful shade on an accent wall. The two-toned grey and black couch in this living room tie everything together.


Matte slats

This homeowner is obviously a big fan of bright colours, however the various grey wall surfaces tone down the overall style of the room.


The golden touch

Grey looks fabulous with neutrals like white and beige, while the flecks of gold in the table decorations are a striking detail.

Graceful grey walls create the perfect backdrop for a nursery, especially one decked out with this incredibly interesting bird wall art.


Good grey eats

While it may not be a wall per se, the graceful grey tones of this wall of kitchen cabinets is decidedly gorgeous, especially with the awesome marble backsplash.

The graceful grey walls in this dining room aren't too overwhelming when used on only half the surface space - the white is an appealing secondary colour.
